Some dogs escape from their home and have great difficulty finding their way back. Fortunately , a cute dog from Australia who was very confused received the help of 3 strangers. Two men and a woman went to the mountain to explore and spend a different day .

The dog was rescued in D’Aguilar National Park near Brisbane.

Their plans did not include spending the entire day rescuing a furry girl, but as soon as they saw her they knew they had to do something. They were walking calmly when they heard the sound of a splash . They approached very carefully to find out what was happening

Hikers feared the sound could be a temperamental kangaroo.

That’s when they discovered the poor dog struggling to get out of the water. She was already somewhat close to the shore but she was so exhausted that she could barely move.  The water was freezing and it was very dangerous to leave it there.

The dog was found more than 5 kilometers from the nearest populated area.

They approached to try to help her but the dog seemed increasingly scared. They decided to take things slow and stayed by her side for a long time to gain her trust. After a while, the sweet furry girl approached them and even placed her head tenderly on the woman’s legs.

The dog had a hard time trusting the two men, but the woman inspired her confidence.

When they managed to get her completely out, they improvised a breastplate with the harness ropes but the dog couldn’t walk. She had spent all her strength getting out of the water. One of the men walked for half an hour to access her car and look for a huge bag . It was perfect for placing the dog there and carrying it between two people.

The dog weighed just over 40 kilos.

It was a long journey and they arrived completely exhausted but it was worth it. The furry girl was very nice and when he got to the car he did nothing but wag his tail and thank his rescuers. Everyone became very fond of her and started calling her Miss Piggy.

“What wonderful heroes. Thank you for stopping to help this dog,” celebrated a user on the networks.

They shared the images of what happened  a few hours later they found its owner. The dog’s name was Elly-Bob and she had been missing for three weeks and the entire family was heartbroken looking for her everywhere . Fortunately, Elly is in perfect health and she returned home to her parents.

Some rescues can be difficult but the smile of a safe puppy is the best reward. Don’t hesitate to stop to help an animal in distress. Share!
