A little dachshund with an unexpected wanderlust decided to get on a bus and make a 30 kilometer trip to the beach , alone, causing great desperation and panic in his family who were looking for him everywhere.
Four-year-old Frank disappeared from home the week of Valentine’s Day, sending his human mom Michelle Ballard into a panic . Devastated, Michelle organized a search party with friends, colleagues, and dog walkers to try to locate her beloved pet.
Frank, meanwhile, was enjoying a ride on bus no. 61 . He managed to go unnoticed but was eventually spotted by another passenger, who agreed to take him to his house in Clacton after arguing what to do with the driver.
He was heading for silver
It wasn’t until later that night that Frank’s new partner’s family saw a Facebook post where Michelle was desperate to find him and set about arranging a meeting with her.
“I thought the bus driver would have noticed and wouldn’t let him on, but maybe he boarded when someone was paying .
Fortunately, there was a kind gentleman who offered to take him back to his own home in Clacton.
She took him in at night and was going to take him to the vet in the morning, but her family saw the post on Facebook . My partner Jonathan picked him up at 7 p.m.,” Michelle said.
Frank was brought home and reunited with Michelle ; Charlie, a two-year-old dachshund; and Freddie, her two-year-old human brother. His family loves him deeply and can’t imagine life without him.
“You hear horrible stories about situations like this. We were lucky that it was such a kind man who picked him up. “This is the first time Frank has done something like this in his life ,” the woman said.
